Accidently tried this restaurant when a a colleague took us here. I don’t know why, but I have never consider this place before. There are usually a lot of “better” alternatives than Kafe Betawi. But the moment I tried their garang asam, I am glad that I come to this place. We ordered many dishes so that everyone gets to try everything but I can tell the garang asam is everyone’s favourite. I can see they’re eyeing me nervously everytime I scoop some garang asam onto my plate. The staff install tiny burner beneath the serving plate so our garang asam was constantly hot. What a comforting experience.
