1st time there and eager to try this new restaurant to celebrate my wife's b'day. We were able to reserve for a table for 10 and were well greeted when arrived. We ordered a number of dishes which several of them were prepared ahead of time (coz we made a reservation hours before) A few comments for an improvement: 1. Nasi hainam: they were served a bit late, not sure why..or because they weren't ready after the wedding event, maybe. Tasted good though and served a lot per bowl 2..The soup: there are 2 choices only, mild or regular. Ordered a medium size and were a bit surprised with the content size of it. Pricey and especially the real ingredient (crab meat) wasn't there... only a blend of eggs, corns, garlic, onions... Again, maybe they ran out of ingredients after the party 3. Chilly oil (sambal minyak): need to differentiate between sambal blacan (terasi) mixed with oil and the actual Chinese chilly oil. When asked to one of the cooks who showed up at our table, he explained that it was not sambal terasi but has some seafood mixed in it. Many Chinese restaurants do serve chilly oil and it's common amongst Chinese dishes. 4. Kailan with garlic: tasted perfect, except for the veggie itself. Maybe it was stored too long in the fridge or overcooked. Usually, the veggie is boiled half cooked, soaked in an ice water to keep its crisp, and placed it a hot cooking pan for a minute or two. Coz we didn't finish it, we wrapped it home. 5. Fried stuffs, like soft shell crabs n shrimps, perfect, perhaps with a better garnishing would make them look appealing 6. Sapo tahu...great stuff! 7. Kung Pao chicken...this one was missing dried chilly and cashews.. without cashew nuts, it's called something else, which I don't know 8. Dim sums... ordered ha kao, mantau, kulit tahu, etc...not sure if you guys buy the raw stuffs from outside coz they kind of tasted (too) salty. Pricewise, suggest to lower them coz are not main dishes. Drinks we ordered were fine and came in reasonable sizes of glasses or cups. Thank you! The music... please ask the 'DJ' to keep it at a descent volume. Yes, it's a big room, but it can be adjusted. Sometimes, for a number of customers especially at nights, playing a loud music can mean an 'immediate bill' , which may not be polite. Your restaurant is not a standard take away or regular one, but it has a class. There are 2 well known types of Chinese dishes in the World, Szechuan and Hunan. I think you guys should stick to one of them. We'll come back some other time and hope my inputs are not considered negative. Thanks
