The only reason I give 4 stars is because I have to reserve the spot for the best one in Singapore or Malaysia. But if you crave for Bakuteh or Malaysian food, this is the place you have to visit. It’s a bit of hidden gem, located in Apartment Mediterania 2. Seems like the locals prefered to keep this place to themselves. Even most people in neighboring apartments didn’t know this place. But try to come during peak hours.. you will see people lining up to get a seat. There are three types of Bakuteh.. Singapore (light colour, peppery), Malaysian style (dark, herbal), or dry.. which is also dark.. but dry. My fave is Singaporean one, perfect with a bowl of rice and cakwe on rainy days. Other food are also great. Must try Fried Mie Penang. The place is a bit small and packed. So if there are queu, don’t stick around too long after finishing your meal. Have mercy with the rest of us.
