Went for a brunch with the girls at the Cork and Screw. Ordered the chicken & waffle and the truffle fries. The waffles was quite unique, since they use ube in the waffle batter. But it didn't affect the taste, it tasted like waffles in common. The fried chicken was crispy and golden on the outside and was tender and juicy inside. It was perfectly seasoned too. The maple syrup added sweetness to the dish, making it a perfect combination of sweet and savoury. While the fries were long, thin and crispy. The truffle flavour came through, it was very fragrant too. The parmesan cheese added on top perfected the fries. Overall, Cork and Screw is such a nice place to hang out and get brunch.
