After putting this ramen shop in my wishlist for a while, finally I had a chance to try them out with my friends. Luckily we got a table for four without any reservation, the only catch is we only got the table for an hour. The ramen shop was not too crowded, but the waiter said the empty tables have been reserved. We ordered the Tonkotsu Chintan Ramen, Tonkotsu Shoyu Gyuniku Ramen, Truffle ramen and Pork Nanban. Unfortunately, the gyoza was out of stock, so we ordered the pork nanban instead. The Tonkotsu Chintan Ramen was very refreshing. A weird way to describe a ramen. The broth is clear so that it's not too rich but perfectly seasoned. The pork was very tender and melt in your mouth. But the type of ramen used in this bowl is not my favourite type of ramen. I asked for al dente ramen, but it was a bit too overcooked for my liking. The Tonkotsu Shoyu Gyuniku ramen's broth is the opposite of the chintan ramen. It was thick, very savoury, and very porky. For me, it's the right consistency and flavour of a good tonkotsu broth. This bowl use different type of ramen, the ramen is thicker and a bit curlier, hence more al dente ramen. The gyuniku was tender and a bit sweet. I suggest to remove the gyuniku to another plate immediately if you don't want your broth flavour changed into a beef broth. The Truffle Ramen was very fragrant. The truffle oil was really strong, not just an essence. The broth was truffle-y, savoury and perfectly seasoned. But you have to really love truffle to finish this bowl up. The ramen used in this bowl is the same as the chintan ramen. Finally, the Pork Nanban. The pork was coated in sour tasted sauce that makes your mouth salivates and crave for more. The tartar sauce adds nice balance to the pork. But after eating few pieces of the pork, I feel that the tartar sauce is a bit too onion-y. Overall, a good experience in this ramen shop. Maybe I would enjoy the ramen more if the ramen itself is not too overcooked. Will definitely come back to try more of their creation.
