My favourite place to get proper sushi and donburi. I ordered the ultimate truffle gyudon and maguro (tuna) sashimi. The doneness of the meat on the gyudon was on point. It was still pink in the middle but not too rare. The meat was seasoned well and you can taste a hint of fragrant truffle oil on it. The onsen egg on top of the meat added creaminess to the dish. On the other hand, the maguro sashimi was not as fresh as usual. It was a bit fishy, luckily the lemon wedge helped a bit. I was a bit disappointed, but I guess this is just a small slip, as Sushi Hiro usually never disappoints.
