When you're having a bad day and need a hug, maybe a bowl (or three bowls in this case) of warm hearty pasta can liften up your mood. Ordered their Penne Vodka, Spaghetti Alla Carbonara with Pork Bacon and Parma Ham Tortellini. The al dente penne, accompanied by tomato sauce cooked with vodka and topped with cubed pork bacon was a perfect combination. The tomato sauce was not too sweet, in fact it was a bit sour but it was very pleasant. The carbonara is the real carbonara (if you know what I mean). They use egg yolk for the carbonara, instead of cream, which you rarely see in (so-called) Italian restaurants. Unfortunately, they use pork bacon instead of guanciale (pork cheek), but the taste was similar so I have no complaints. Lastly, the dish of the day, the Parma Ham Tortellini. I haven't found many tortellini menu here, so I was intrigued to try this dish out. The pasta dough was thin, the filling was the perfect amount and the taste was perfect. Furthermore, the creamy cheesy sauce with a sprinkle of nutmeg complimented the pasta nicely. It gave warmness to the dish. The addition of nutmeg to the sauce reminds me of my grandma's macaroni schotel. Overall, a very happy experience of dining. Will put this restaurant into my go to place when I'm feeling down
