Was craving sushi and gyukatsu. So, I went to Okinawa and ordered their gyukatsu, salmon mentai roll and salmon belly carpacio. Unfortunately, the beef marbling of the gyukatsu wasn't good enough, the sinew was impossible to be cooked and chewed. The beef itself lack of flavour and the breading was poor. The condiments didn't help either, as the goma mayonnaise lack of goma flavour. Presentation was good though. The sushi roll was okay, a bit too sweet for my liking as the tamagoyaki was too sweet. The salmon was too thin and the balance between the salmon and the mentai sauce was off. Maybe if the salmon cut is thicker, the roll will taste better. On the other hand, the carpaccio was the highlight of the day. It doesn't disappoint taste wise, only the price is a bit on the higher side. Will come back to Okinawa just for this.
