Okay, here’s a long story but I think this should be told. I’m not the trending-food chaser type. After months of the trend, I thought the hype gone, but turns out it still on the waiting list. And one of my friends got the booking like at the beginning of the month. So, I rate the food we ordered first: 1. Salmon Yum. Yes, it’s fresh, not smelly, taste good. I do not complain at all. 2. Thai Roast beef. The beef is nicely cut and cooked. Also, no complaint. Now is the problem. 3. Crispy Fried Egg with Crab Roe. Sorry, but this one you even cannot go crispier. it is crispy down to the core. Even I can’t taste where is the crab roe. 4. Pocai cah telor. I take the bait, it is on limited stock menu so I thought it would be nice or homey. And yes, it is homey just like my home cook. Yeah, my home cook is not okay at all. 5. Hotate Sauce SCI. it’s a meh meh tbh, I like hotate when it comes to sushi and else, or you can just put it in the Tom Yum. Not hiding the quality by frying it and put a sauce on 6. Soka Goreng Lada Garam. The crab quality is nice, it’s not all floury. But IMO, there’s no other special point from this dish. 7. Tom Yum. The Icon of Thai Food. Yet I think this one couldn’t be the Icon of Warung SCI which said it is a Thai food Fusion Cuisine 8. Bandeng Saos Nyonya. The Bandeng is actually good, separated from the bones already and easy to eat. But IMO, I think the marination should take a longer time, or put some more seasoning to remove the smell of the fish body. That’s all about the food review. Comes the place. I do not expect I will eat at a dining that made me spend $80 and sit in a “Kursi Bakso” basically a plastic chair you can see at street food. Ya, I know it’s simple dining not a fancy one, but my suggestion is please more considerate about the safety of your customers. That kind of plastic chair can slip or crack suddenly. I think you’ve made more than enough to buy some 20 good chair for your beloved customer that keep queueing for weeks. That’s all, sorry to put this honestly. I know cooking is not easy, you can fail sometimes. Maybe my turn is an unlucky one. Hope you can receive all the inputs and see u again. NB: also, for future customers. PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE WHEN YOU CHITCHAT AND LAUGH. It’s a small place yet you laugh like in a basketball court. Other people are enjoying their food, and they also pay not only you.
