Lovely hidden gem. Tried their regular house matcha (uji from kyoto) and a ceremonial grade one (nishio from aichi) and I can definitely say there's a difference. At first glance, Nishio's color clearly looks lighter and more vibrant than Uji. In terms of taste, Nishio had lighter notes and was less bitter, slightly creamy, and slightly more fragrant, while Uji tasted a bit bland and had a slightly bitter aftertaste. The ochazuke was full of umami and the chicken karaage was nice and crispy. The hojicha canele was good, but tasted more like a regular canele as I couldn't taste the hojicha much. The warabimochi tasted quite dry at first because of the soybean powder, but can be quite sweet as you chew on it.
