The food was a little bit of a let down. The experience starts well with ‘welcome food’, which is tasty. We ordered the Burrata (which was actually filled mozzarella - but still tasty) and thinly sliced tenderloin. For mains we had lasagna and gnoccholini. The lasagna seemed as though it was all cooked separately and then put together at the end. While it was intentionally done this way, standard lasagna is an all-time classic and I’m not sure this ‘re-imagination’ of it was necessary. The gnoccholini was strange and not really like gnocchi at all. Granted, the name and description state it isn’t exactly gnocchi but again, a classic which isn’t in need of a fresh spin (at least in that way). The meal does end with some delightful truffles though. The service was great although there appeared to only be one waiter serving all the tables which meant service was a little slow, as the waiter was ‘spread thin’. The atmosphere was ok. The music was a little loud and the setting is outside but not cool. There are fans but if you struggle with Bali’s humidity, then this place may not be for you. All in all, an ok experience but we expected a little more for the price.
