If you want a proper katsu dish, this place is the right place for you. Their katsu are very well-made and delightful. Ordered the tenderloin bou age, prawn katsu and pork tenderloin katsu nabe.  The tenderloin bou age was cut into six thick slices. From the looks I can tell the doneness of the pork was on point and it was crispy and golden on the outside. The quality of panko is sublime, it was crispy, didn't absorb a lot of oil and was not soggy at all. The pork was very tender and juicy. It was perfectly seasoned too. Truly a perfect bite every time. The size of the prawn was enormous. It was fresh and the texture was snappy and not mushy. The texture was perfected further by the crispy katsu crust.  Lastly, the katsu nabe, was very different from the other. It was soft and warm because of the addition of nabe broth and the egg. The nabe broth was savoury and it complemented the flavour of the tenderloin. This dish is refreshing for me. In the end, I was left satisfied by all the food in Katsutoku. I can say this is the best katsu restaurant in Jakarta for me.
