Went to this restaurant with my family to try their katsu dishes. We ordered several katsu dishes for share and one appetizer. The first one to arrive was the Black Angus Sirloin gyukatsu. The marbling was great, there wasn't too much fat for a sirloin (which is good because I don't really like fatty beef). Just need 15 seconds of grilling on each side to enjoy them. I love that the katsu crust was still intact after grilling and it immediately melt in your mouth. It was perfectly seasoned too, both the meat and the katsu crust. Then there were two pork katsus, the Tenderloin Sous Vide Tonkatsu and the Cheese Pork Katsu. The tenderloin was still pink in the middle. A little bit under for my liking, so I decided to put it on the gyukatsu's grill for 30 seconds on each side. The tenderloin was very tender and delicate, you don't have to put a lot of effort to chew it. Again, perfectly seasoned pork and katsu crust. While the cheese on the pork katsu was melty and gooey. It complements the pork katsu flavour perfectly. We ordered the Pork Yaki Gyoza for the appetizer. The filling was meaty and juicy. The dipping sauce was salty and sour, it complemented the rich gyoza filling. Overall a very fulfilling katsu experience. But the only downside was that the dipping sauces for the katsu is not my cup of tea. I really wanted a sour katsu sauce with grounded sesame seeds, but the katsu sauce wasn't sour enough and too sweet for my liking. Two other dipping sauces was not great too and not memorable.
