First thing first, this is not ayam pop as you may often find in Rumah Makan Padang. Quite similar but actually somewhat different. Was it delicious? Of course! If you like the Ayam Pop with less coconut oil (but fried as the from Rumah Makan Padang), then you should try to dine here. There are two additional things to make this Ayam Pop a 'whole'. Its sambal and its dark-green consommé (wet & thick broth contained after you fried the chicken). Also take the note, the sambal here is also different compare to Ayam Pop in Rumah Makan Padang. While there, the sambal is in somewhat sauce-shape. But here, the sambal similar to sambal korek. They also sell chicken skin skewer, another type of Ayam Pop but they fried it with eggs, bakwan jagung, lalap and of course ... Tempe & tahu. Beware that it looks none visit, but once you dine you'll find out that the waiter will inform you tha probably some of the menu is 'habis... habis.. habis..' (sold out). Especially the sambal and the broth. This place is definitely one of our favorite now.
