As capital city of Indonesia (not for long), Jakarta offers some of the best international restaurants. Unfortunately, we don’t have Bolan Thai, an affordable but great Thai restaurant. For this one, you have to go to Alam Sutera, Tangerang. It’s funny how I always rave on how affordable Bolan Thai is.. but always spending a lot in here. I love almost everything on the menu, and have difficulty to not ordering too much. Chef is very nice. You can always ask them to cook extra spicy. My fave is Spicy Lemon Fish, Tom Yum, Pad Kra Praw.. but then I also love the Salad Kangkung Crispy.. oh dear! Thai tea is too weak for my liking, but food is great. Their space is not big, so if you are coming with a large group of friends/family during lunch/dinner, make a reservation.
