This is the best and as close as you can get to authentic “Nasi Gandul” in Semarang. “Nasi Gandul” is a delicacy from a town called Pati in Central Java although you can find “Nasi Gandul” all around Central Java. The soup was very flavorful and creamy… the meat was also very tender. They offer a wide range of side dishes to eat the nasi gandul with, sate usus(Intestinal Satay), Tempeh, boiled egg, pergedel, etc which makes it even better. The portion is actually not that big so you might want to have seconds if you want to be full. Service was good and atmosphere is your typical traditional Indonesian curb side stall with cars and motorcycles passing through not far from where you sit. It is worth to try when visiting Semarang!
