A surging sense of nostalgic feeling engulf me as I entered this restaurant. I used to come to this place as a kid with my parents. My dad used to tell me Bakmi GM’s humble begining. Started as street food cart, back when he was young. It has since turned into noodle house empires with one branch per one shopping mall.. well, almost. I normally come to the one closest to my house. However, I decided to take my friend to have brunch here before heading to chinatown today. With MRT poject going on outside and turned the road into nightmare, the place is not bustling as it once was. But the food is as good as always. Consistency is something that Bakmi GM should take pride of. One must ordered dish is pangsit goreng. Fried dumpling like no other. Lightly crispy, not oily, perfect with the sauce. Their smoke chicken fried rice and bakmi special GM is also nice.
