A hidden katsu restaurant in Plaza Senayan. But their katsu is one of the best in Jakarta. I love their pork tenderloin katsu and pork sirloin katsu. The four thick-cut tenderloin katsu looked crispy and golden on the outside. After the first bite, I can tell they are using great quality panko for the katsu crust. It was crispy, fresh and not too greasy. After quite a while the panko crust didn't turn soggy. The tenderloin was tender and juicy, even though tenderloin is very lean. It was flavourful and very well-seasoned. No complaints at all. On the other hand, the sirloin is fattier than the tenderloin. But the fatty part made it juicier than the tenderloin. The fatty part was not hard and literally melts in your mouth. If you love fattier pork, the sirloin is for you. Overall, a very satisfying meal indeed. I will always go back to Katsutoku if I need my katsu craving fixed.
