Compared to its more popular (and touristy) competitor (yes, you can guess the name), the babi guling here wins hands down. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR and come here. Only 10 mins walk from Ubud Palace. The skin is crispy, the pork flavourful, the gorengan (fried bits) tasty. It comes with an unadulterated sambal made of green chillies. None of the bland touristy sambals served all over the island. I was here at 10.30am when it opened and there were people who dropped by to takeaway - all locals. Go figure.
